Children's WorkFor more information, please visit the ACA website at www.asianchildrensassist.org.
In 1994, as we began to work in China and other parts of Asia, the needs of the handicapped orphans and other poor children in the Shenyang area came to our attention.
In 1999, we created a separate organization "Asian Children's Assistance" (ACA) to handle all our children related work. ACA was also created to meet the requirements of the Combined Federal Campaign, in the USA. Although legally two separate organizations, SHIC continues to administer ACA.
Presently, ACA provides the following: Foster Care Program - In this program ACA cares for serveral handicapped children, by placing them in loving foster families who will provide for every aspect of their lives: tender loving care, food, clothing, education, socialization and assimilation into society. ACA is expanding this program to receive more such children. ACA sponsors their schooling and takes them into society at every opportunity so that they may increase their learning and experience. ![]() Corrective Surgeries for orphans and children from poor families. ACA gives them a hope for a future, which previously was out of their reach due to financial restrictions. Scholarship Programs for orphans or children from poor families who cannot afford to pay for some or all of their education.
