MPHShenyang, China (February 14th, 2007)
TABLE OF CONTENTS On Monday, Feb. 26th, we will have a new staff member, Mark Waters, and his family will arrive. We are looking forward to receiving them. They are re-locating from South Korea. They still need an apartment for which they are allowing themselves about two weeks to look for, after they arrive. Today I sent off Shen Wen Zhu’s information to a doctor who is with the Children’s Hospital in Seattle. Hopefully they will see how they can help in with treatment or surgery so that he may become continent rather than incontinent. He is a precious little boy. Six-year-old Jiao Jiao, who has been in our foster care program for 5 years, will be going back to the orphanage. Her foster mom’s health has deteriorated to the point that she can no longer care for Jiao Jiao. It saddens our heart to ever have to return a child to an institution but thankfully we have been made aware of a controlled program for children like Jiao Jiao in this orphanage. When we asked them if they had room for another child, they said that they had one opening remaining and would be able to receive her. Our hearts are relieved. We are glad that someone will be directly responsible to feed her and care for her there. Sincerely, Paula and Staff
