MPHShenyang, China (March 23rd, 2006)
TABLE OF CONTENTS Our plans are set to make follow-up visits to all doctors. However the CD’s, donated by another organization, have not been approved by the China Medical University to be used for CME credits. But the doctors so far like them and feel that they would be useful, and they really do look useful.
We are grateful that the policy manuals are finished. We have had our all staff meeting to discuss the policy and now everyone has their copy on their desk from which to work.
3. 4-A Friend Sports Health Week We have had our first organizational meeting with the relative government leader. All went well. We have about 30% of the total project mapped out. We need to create the rest of the schedule and the budget.
We have just hired a new caregiver for Li Shuang. Cynthia thinks she will do well.
We are ready to sign the agreement with the hospital. I sent word of this cooperation to some of our stateside medical friends. I hope to receive their advice on this. Soon our partner will begin to advertise throughout China for children who need cataract surgeries. We hope that the families of all who need this surgery will somehow hear of this project and be able to get their children here to Shenyang at the right time.
We continue to work diligently on our Character First teaching and sharing. Our staff enjoys the studies but we all need to learn how to praise our colleagues more when they display these character traits. You would be surprised to see how much it impacts our behavior to be praised for displaying a certain character trait. We also need to become more and more conscientious of opportunities to display these traits.
Sincerely, Paula and Staff |
