TABLE OF CONTENTS 1. Surgeries 2. 4-A Friend
We have had two children in the Stomotological Hospital for cleft lip & cleft palate surgery. One Child had numerous IV’s and antibiotics in his system, (not exactly pinpointed). He has been in the hospital for the past 15 days. He is still on antibiotics. Possibly he will have surgery on Monday of next week. The doctor is concerned about the need to build up his immune system prior to surgery for better success. The second child had surgery but one portion; just underneath of the bridge of his nose, is open. It was not closed well during surgery, a surgical error. He had some infection and was on antibiotics for three days. Now he has been discharged. The open area is continuing to heal. Li Shuang (Little Swan) was admitted to the Number 2 Hospital for her second surgery on her other clubfoot, her right foot. She continues to wear a cast on her left foot for another month and a half. She will have surgery on Friday morning, tomorrow. She will have to wear a cast on the right foot for three months. We have child number four who has been admitted to our hospital due to his spina bifida. This surgery, meningeal closure.
The government, from two cities, are eager to cooperate in another 4-A Friend Sports Health Week for high school age young people. We are looking for our potential partners to respond quickly with the appropriate information so that we can continue preparations for this great sporting event.
Sincerely, Paula and Staff
