1. Township Doctor Training

We are making plans for spring of this year, our staff will implement a follow-up program for all of the doctors.  We have information that tells us that our doctors are excited about it.  Alright!

2. Foster Care

All of the children are doing well. Three are on Spring vacation.  We still need a new foster home for Da Bao. We are hoping for a loving home, a home in which Da Bao can be lovingly taught and cared for.

3. Surgeries

We have just admitted two children to the Stomotological Hosptial for cleft lip/cleft palate surgery.  One of the children,Shen Ming Zheng, is now suspected of having hydrocephalus. He must undergo testing.  If this is true, the hospital refuses to do surgery.  If he does not have hydrocephalus we will proceed with his surgeries.

The other child has no problem and will have surgery on Thursday depending on the hospitals surgery schedule.  This child is ‘Shen Ming Jie”.

4. Staff

We are so thankful for our beautiful hospital staff.  We have hired now a new doctor and a new nurse!!!  We really needed them.  Now our chief doctor will be able to teach them and manage the unit the way it should be without over-working herself.

5. Personnel Needs

  1. An medical doctor: You can be of any discipline, pediatrician would be ideal, family practice would also be great, any other discipline would also be very useful to help the work in China.
  2. An administrator: We need someone to take Valeries post, someone to coordinate and organize projects, initially connecting with all parties, liasing with Chinese partners and monitoring the progress of those projects.
  3.  A carpenter: To take Leo’s place, not only taking care of our carpentry needs but when he has time, also using their gifts to help others in this community and other charitable orgs here in our city meeting their carpentry needs.
  4. A computer technician: Taking care of our hardware and software maintenance as well as maintenance of our in-house network, keeping equipment up-to-date and in good working order.

*Chinese language is helpful with any of these.

However at least the people must work well with translators.
