Below you will find an introduction to our organization. We hope you will find it to be informative. It is our great privilege to be able to be here and serve the people of China. We want to acknowledge up front the unseen heroes and those are the folks who have heard that voice in their hearts and have contributed through the donation of funds, goods, time, talent, thought, and heart to this organization. Without our partners we could not do what we do. We simply cannot stand on our own. We say thank you to all of you.

Our Organization

Our Organization SHIC, Inc. Asian Health Services Exchange was established in China in 1994. We are a charitable and non-profit organization. We have offices in the USA and China and are also registered in Holland and Hong Kong.

Our Vision

Our vision is to improve the quality of available healthcare and welfare particularly for children, the handicapped, the elderly and the poor in China and in other countries of Asia. We work to reduce the suffering among them so that they can reach their full potential, realize their dreams and make their own contributions to society. It is our desire to build lasting bridges of friendship and peace through excellent service and successful cooperation with government officials and in the private sector at every level and of every background.

Services

Our purposes are carried out through the following services. The services are divided into two main categories. One focusing on adults and one focusing on children (services for children implemented by our affiliated organization Asian Children's Assistance Ltd. (ACA)).

Report of SHIC Participation in the International Red Cross Anniversary
                      “The Red Cross Alongside With the Olympic Games”
 

On their 61st anniversary of the international Red Cross, the Shenyang Red Cross held a fund-raising anniversary party. During this event, Shenyang Red Cross provided some volunteer services like legal publicity, free medical consultation and clinic services; providing a platform of love for the charitable groups who work with the disadvantaged.

SHIC and several other teams and organizations such as Shenyang Red Cross clinic team, the Department of Mortal Remains Donations, Red Cross Bike-Riding Volunteers and the college student volunteers took part in this event.  One of the purposes of this event was to help promote the upcoming of the Olympic Games.
During this event, we handed out brochures which included notices for free treatment of children with cleft lips and palates. Our hope was that more people would know about this project and get the help they needed.
The vice mayor， who is also the President of Shenyang Red Cross， was in attendance. She expressed her appreciation for our participation in the International Red Cross event. She also showed her personal respect and praise for Paula’s contribution to the charity affairs in China.
